Lucban, Quezon, Philippines
Pahiyas of Lucban town in the province of Quezon is the most colorful harvest festival in honor of the saint of farmers, San Isidro which is usually celebrated on the 15th day of May. Fortunately, this year’s Pahiyas celebration fall on Sunday which was on May 15, 2016 and thus, it attracted a lot of tourists making it as one of the well-attended festivals in the country.
I have already attended this festival three times but what makes this one special and meaningful is that I have now a travel blog where I can have a detailed documentation of this occasion.
One of the attractions of the festival aside from the crop-harvest house decorations was the Ginoo at Binibini Parikitan which has drawn thousands of spectators. It is a parade of young females and males clad in costumes made of improvised materials as designed by local couturiers.
The following pictures showcase the frontal and back photo of every pair with their corresponding names and the designer along with Miss Cosmopolitan World 2015:

ReplyDeleteHi Sir 😃 On behalf of our organization we would like to thankyou for all the amazing photos here in your blog. God bless you and I hope you enjoyed your stay here in our beloved town, Lucban. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy attending your Pahiyas Festival. This is so far my fourth and I always document them including that fashion display but this is my first time to post it in my blog. I will always be attending your festival as long as I have time to do it. Every year is another fashion display of fascination. May your organization continue to do this tradition in all its glory and pageantry.
