ON TOP OF SCENIC NAGTIPUNAN

Location: Barangay Landingan, Nagtipunan, Quirino Province, Philippines

This is a part of my March 25-26, 2016 Quirino Province Tour Package which includes: Aglipay Caves, Governor's Rapids, Siitan River and Bimmapor Rock Formations, Diamond Cave and Cabarroguis Quick Tour.

Overlooking lush green of mountain slopes from Landingan Viewpoint

Landingan Viewpoint is a part of Nagtipunan, the largest of the six municipalities of the province of Quiriono with a land area of 1,607.40 square kilometers, nearly half of the province itself and it is dubbed as the tourism capital of the province. Landingan is just one of the 16 barangays of Nagtipunan.

The vastness of Nagtipunan mountain slopes

Landingan Viewpoint was the last of the tourist attraction of our March 25-26, 2016 Quirino tour that we visited after we had spelunking in Diamond Cave and I really regret that such majestic beauty should be last enjoying only barely 30 minutes of stay. It was such a refreshing 20-minute drive coming from the Diamond Cave of rolling hills of corn plantation. Road leading to it was intensely dramatic of ups and downs and gradually winding .

While on top Landingan Viewpoint

We’ve felt so much admiration of nature that our group of seven has opted to go down from our car most particularly when we were already approaching the viewpoint. Inch by inch as we drove uphill was worth a postcard.

Few meters to Landingan viewpoint

Its beauty reminded me when I was in Batanes of its Malboro country where its rolling hills give much splendor. The only difference was in Batanes, part of the backdrop is the blue sea while in here was purely a lush green of plains and hills with one river cutting through the whole panoramic view. It was like you are not in the Philippines. As you stand at the viewpoint, you would completely under spell and wonder how God created this part of the Earth. I am really speechless to witness such beauty. Its stunningly great!!!

While on top, we felt the cool air. It was deeply soothing not just physically but spiritually. We’ve come to appreciate more Our Almighty Creator. We felt so lucky being in this place. Visiting the place has given me an unexpected feeling. I knew it was in our itinerary but being there is a different experience.
